When I was a kid we had a couple Japanese exchange students stay with our family and they would often bring kokeshi as a gift. I still have those lovely dolls and wouldn't turn down a cookie version either!
Okay, I know it doesn't take a whole heap of talent or time or dedication to make a batch of cupcakes and a batch of cookies made with cookie cutters. I am aware. I am also aware that sometimes simple things can be just as cute as something that is full of blood, sweat and tears. Just think of the frosting stuck to the back of that cookie. Mmmmmmmm.
I think we are nearing the end of the rain(bow) here in Seattle finally. It's still blustery and still showering here and there but we're getting more and more sunshine and soon it will be GLORIOUS! Have you ever witnessed a Northwest summer? They are kind of the best ever. Just don't tell anyone that, we want to hold onto our inhospitable reputation lest more people try to move here.
It's been a long time since I had strawberry milk, and while I don't remember it with particular fondness, There is something appealing about a strawberry flavored cookie with a creamy sweet filling. I'd almost even prefer it if it was a little artificial tasting.
It seems a little counter intuitive to eat cookies that look like slimming undergarments. Unless of course you have no intention of fitting into a slimming undergarment after eating said cookies. Oh who am I kidding? I'll never wear a corset, pass the snacks!
