A severe rain shortage prompted villagers in the Indian state of West Bengal to fall back on an old tradition -- the frog wedding. The villagers pooled their money to pay for the wedding of two frogs named Ram and Sita, named for the two primary characters in the Sanskrit epic the Ramayana. From Reuters:
I read an interesting article over at The New York Observer chastising this improv group for throwing a fake wedding in a crowded NYC subway, culminating in a staged fight. The Observer is upset over the fact that it potentially interrupted people's commutes, and in the end just isn't very funny.
What do you guys think? Great comedy stunt or big unfunny obstruction?
