This is the most delicious field of lilies I've ever seen. One part of me wants to lay down and roll around in it. But then there's the smart part of me who knows that being covered in sugar is not the best feeling in the world.
When presented with a selection of cupcakes such as this, how on earth do you make a choice?! That little red rose in the front is calling to me, it's voice is sugary, soothing, seductive. "I look like embossed wallpaper, my rose looks like a real flower, don't you want a little taste?"
I like the age-old motif of hearts and keys. It never goes out of style and always seems so genuine and proper. I also like gags involving swallowing a key like in "Arrested Development" so with these cupcakes I'm all set.
When I was a kid, the closest I ever got to decorating my own cake was a cookie and a little tube of gel icing. I had plenty of fun with just that. Imagine how awesome it would have been if we had edible paper back then? I can't say I'm not a little jealous of kids these days.
Can't you see this cake inspiring an entire room's worth of decor? I like kids decor that can transition through the years. I feel like pink and blue are such baby colors that don't apply quite so well when they become toddlers. Green and yellow are always classic.
