Sci-Fi del Grande Gatto: Storage 24

Storage 24 is not a terrible movie. It just isn't very good. It's entertaining enough if you happen to catch it on TV one day, but it's never as scary as it should be. It's still better than what we usually get for horror movies in January.

This has already been out for a while in the U.K., so if anyone has already seen it, tell us what you thought. If you haven't seen it yet, do you plan to? Even just to see Mickey again?

Not a great weekend for fantasy and sci-fi, I'm afraid. "Mirror Mirror" is fine if you have kids or just want some silly camp this weekend. No matter what though, I'd recommend staying far away from "Wrath of the Titans."

Will you see either of these movies this weekend?

Sci-Fi del Grande Gatto: Brave and Abraham Lincoln Vampire Hunter

Brave, while not Pixar's best movie, is still a great original fairy tale. Abraham Lincoln: Vampire Hunter on the other hand, is mostly boring and way too self-serious, but is redeemed at least a little bit by some fun vampire fight scenes. You'll likely get at least some enjoyment out of either movie, but I'd recommend Brave over Lincoln any day.

Which one will you go see this weekend? Or will you go see this week's less fantastical fare, Seeking a Friend for the End of the World? Whatever you end up seeing, tell us what you think in the comments.

Despite some flaws, The Dark Knight Rises is still a great movie and a satisfying end to the series. Best of all, it isn't in 3D! Some scenes were shot in IMAX though, so if you have the opportunity, it is definitely worth seeing the movie that way.

Be sure to tell us what you think of the movie!

While some of the action scenes can be pretty cool, the new Total Recall isn't nearly as fun to watch or as memorable as the 1990 version.

Will you go see Total Recall this weekend, or will you stay home and watch Ahnold's version again? Or you could always read the short story, "We Can Remember It For You Wholesale," especially if you haven't already. Seriously, go read it. Right now. It's amazing.

While Battleship isn't as bad as I thought it was going to be, it's still awful. And long. Really long. I guess if you're really looking for an action movie and are sick of The Avengers, Battleship might satisfy you for a little while. Even then, I'd recommend staying home and renting something.

But this is just one large cat's opinion. Will you see Battleship? If you do, tell us what you think.

The Amazing Spider-Man actually turned out much better than I thought it was going to be. If it hadn't been for that terribly long, drawn out ending, it probably would have gotten a higher rating. The way the quality of the writing changed so frequently throughout the film was weird though. It's like they had two teams of writers. One that was interested in developing characters and telling a good story, and one that had to be told the paper was for writing on, not eating.

Still, it is fairly enjoyable, though completely unnecessary and forgettable.

Will you see The Amazing Spider-Man? If you do, be sure to tell us what you think.
