Because we met doing stage combat, we decided to have our first "fight" before our first dance. Couldn't have it any other way.
I read an interesting article over at The New York Observer chastising this improv group for throwing a fake wedding in a crowded NYC subway, culminating in a staged fight. The Observer is upset over the fact that it potentially interrupted people's commutes, and in the end just isn't very funny.
What do you guys think? Great comedy stunt or big
I meet my fiance at our local community theater while he was playing Roger in Rent several years ago. We started dating, and the past summer, on the opening night of West Side (in which he played Tony) after the curtain call, the director called me up on stage for this very special moment.
Cute! Just make sure to keep the Sharks and the Jets on opposite sides of the aisle so we don't have any dance-knife-fights during the nuptials.
