We've got a sort of fake Spring going on here in Seattle. But it's really still winter and really still cold and there really still aren't any strawberries to be had. Come on berry season!
Panna cotta is like super rich, fancy grown up pudding and it is ridiculously delicious and versatile. I could eat panna cotta with every meal and not complain. Though with that much cream I would no doubt come to regret it. And oh the rainbow of possibility!
It's been a long time since I had strawberry milk, and while I don't remember it with particular fondness, There is something appealing about a strawberry flavored cookie with a creamy sweet filling. I'd almost even prefer it if it was a little artificial tasting.
We have several trays like this in my home. Trays that are PERFECT for a romantic breakfast in bed. Have I ever found a lovely romantic breakfast in my bed? No. I have not. Though there was that one time I was really sick and got soup in bed. I guess that counts.
Swans are so graceful and elegant and pretty (from a distance, let's not talk about the up-close and personal). Pastry cream is possibly one of the most delicious inventions on the planet; you could top a pizza with it and I'd dive right in. I'd like to see these floating on a little stream of champagne and it would be a perfect tableau.
