I think we are nearing the end of the rain(bow) here in Seattle finally. It's still blustery and still showering here and there but we're getting more and more sunshine and soon it will be GLORIOUS! Have you ever witnessed a Northwest summer? They are kind of the best ever. Just don't tell anyone that, we want to hold onto our inhospitable reputation lest more people try to move here.

As with any rainstorm, a rainbow follows. The inside of this cake has a sweet subtle rainbow going on!

Wouldn't it be great if we could skip the rain and go straight to rainbows?

Here's proof that a rainy day isn't always a bad thing. Now if only we could manage to contain all our weather woes inside baked goods. Let's move to Barbados!

It's seriously dark out these days. Windy, rainy, cloudy, oppressive. All the happy clouds and rainbows I can cram into my life (and mouth) are dearly welcome.

Prayers for overcast skies are now portable!

Never has there been a cake that looks like it's literally floating on a magical pink cloud until now. I just hope that the bride or guest of honor at this soiree was wearing a similarly floofy and outrageously girly dress. In fact, this cake would have gone nicely with my senior prom dress! Man that thing was gaudy!

I have to say, though it sucks to have rain in the summer, I do love the sound it makes when it patters on the dry ground for the first time in a while. Thanks for helping me celebrate, lunch!

My desk can never have enough rainbows, must have more cute!
