Seven-year-old Matthew Grammer has acute lymphoblastic leukemia. One year ago, he told the Make-a-Wish Foundation he wanted to be R2D2. The foundation commissioned Little Mountain Productions of Tulsa Okla. to build him a large driveable version of the droid.

This week, at a pep rally at Bishop Kelley High School, Matthew got to drive the robot around the gym floor, defeating Darth Vader, Darth Maul, and a few stormtroopers in a skit put on by the senior class.

Now you can take a bit of nerdy comfort with you should you be forced to go outside. Although, with summer a long ways off, I'm pretty sure this is not the droid we're looking for.
