"The Hunger Games" is a lot of fun, and considering its target audience, the world has a surprising amount of depth to it. As far as the violence goes, they show as much as they can get away with and still keep the PG-13 rating. That still allows for some pretty gruesome and uncomfortable imagery, which I think is what a movie like this needs.
