"In a hole in the ground, there lived a hobbit." On September 21, 1937, J.R.R. Tolkien published The Hobbit. 75 years later, we're still reading about that hobbit who left that hole in the ground to follow a band of dwarves and a wizard on a great adventure. The children's novel has been translated into over 40 languages and sold tens of millions of copies. It even had a series of sequels you may have heard of.
