The grey is getting lower and thicker and more and more oppressive out there. These super bright and cheery lemon cookies are snapping me out of my funk. Time to put on something colorful and dance around alone in my house.
Oh man is there a lot going on here. Those cupcakes alone look light and moist and delightful and then you go and pile on some pretty, fluffy, buttery icing mmmmmmm. And THEN you make little heart cookies and you ice them BUT you use MORE icing to make them all fancy and swirly and amazing. Then you PUT IT ON THE CUPCAKE! I'm so exhausted. I can't eat. I need a nap.
Snacktime! Pull up your carpet square for a cookie and some milk while Mrs. Jackson reads us a story. Then we get to take a nap and then recess! Will it ever get better than kindergarten? I need more coloring books in my life.
Red and white do make a fantastic combo, don't they? And snowflakes are so satisfying in their symmetry and fragility. Basically, winter is magic, and the buttery, spicy delicious treats we get to indulge in without any guilt make the holidays rich. Bring on the cookies, I'm ready!
