Sadly this week's sci-fi/fantasy offering just isn't very good. It has its moments, but in the end is a boring mess. Still, this isn't the worst thing Tim Burton has done. It's just frustratingly mediocre.
What do you think? Will you see Dark Shadows this weekend, spend your money on something more worthy? Like seeing The Avengers a third or fourth time.
David Yates, director of the last four "Harry Potter" films, is teaming up with the BBC to bring "Doctor Who" to the big screen. There is one catch.
"Russell T. Davies and then Steven Moffat have done their own transformations, which were fantastic, but we have to put that aside and start from scratch," said Yates.
That's right, the movie will have nothing to do with the television series. This could actually be a good thing as the show would not have to be written around the movie. Yates is currently looking for writers from both the United States and Britain.
Of course, this news means that anyone could play The Doctor. Who would you like to see in the role?
