Remember aspiring announcers, if you're a total jerk but have an upper class British accent, everyone will find you delightful.

My grandmother and I were married on the same date. Since she passed away and could not attend, we had her picture at the altar.

My great-grandparents, John and Claire, were married in the early 1940s and stayed together until his death three years ago. Since then, my mom and her cousin both wore Nana's dress in their own weddings and it's as beautiful today as it was then.

My grandfather was 17 when he joined the Navy as a nurse and was put on a ship during WWII. I was always told that my grandmother waited for him while he was overseas. They were together until he died in '98, and she followed just a few years later. This is my favorite wedding photo of them. I think my grandmother is just gorgeous.

Good idea on getting married before he sailed off. Walking down the aisle when you haven't got your land legs back would be no fun, after all. Thanks for sharing your grandparent's story!

Just don't get those hats near to anybody or you're going to have to pee on them. Probably wouldn't be the first time that happened at a wedding, but be careful nonetheless.
