A recycling company worker displays a lost wedding ring found in the bin.

28 year-old Martin wright from England lost his wedding ring while throwing away cardboard in a recycling bin. Unable to reach anyone at the waste contractor's office by phone because it was Sunday, he desperately tweeted, "Just dropped my wedding ring into a cardboard recycling container. All the phone numbers on the box are closed. What can I do?" Martin sent the message along with a photo of the recycling bin, and in just 30 minutes an employee of the waste contractor called him to say he would cancel the next day's collection. The next morning, staff searched the bin and found his ring in a discarded box of tea bags. Martin has been married to his wife for 18 months and is reportedly under suspicion this was a plot to relieve him of trash duties.

I've never been one to find death-themed weddings anything but morbid, so to me all this evokes is stealing jewelry from corpses. Err, I mean, happy wedding!

An engagement ring lost four years ago at Rigby Lake in Idaho was recovered by a kayaker and returned to its owner. Necia Rasmussen misplaced her princess-cut diamond ring while visiting the lake in 2008, when she removed it to apply sunscreen to her children. Interestingly enough, her mother-in-law also had a similar experience in which she lost her engagement ring only to find it thirty years later in the family garden. Luck runs in the family!

If it weren't for this super amazing sanitation worker, this woman wouldn't have her wedding ring. I think he deserves to marry her now.
