This is my grandparents at their wedding in the early 50s. My grandma was almost 4 months pregnant but still managed to fit into this teensy outfit! The were married until she passed away unexpectedly in 2008. They spend fifty five years together, bickering, laughing and generally being amazing.

Looks like it was more of a tiny squeeze for your petite grandmother to fit in that lovely suit. Beautiful at a turning point in a beautiful relationship!

Today is my parent's Silver Wedding Anniversary. This picture was taken after they got married at New York City Hall. 25 years of marriage is an extraordinary achievement especially for todays standards. And after raising tripletts, plus two other children, our family is anything but ordinary.

Awesome. I love that your mom wore black to her wedding! I also am genuinely concerned for the person on the right who appears to be passed out. I hope he or she lived through the party to see these last 25 years too.

My grandmother and I were married on the same date. Since she passed away and could not attend, we had her picture at the altar.

My grandpa was a photographer. Instead of throwing rice, the guests used the flashes from their cameras.

DrpepperPhD says: "My grandparents got married in the '40s. My grandfather was an engineer and worked for NASA, and he was a real do-it-yourselfer. He built a house for his wife and children from the ground up. My grandmother passed away from cancer about 8 years ago, and my grandfather passed on this year. To me, they've been the perfect example of a beautiful, happy marriage."
