We love Lord of the Rings and wanted something awesome but the cake people couldn't do much. So we settled with this and the figures.
Understated, yet lovely! However I think you'd better watch out or Galadriel's gonna eat all the cake.
Sarah says: "My new husband and I shunned many of the traditions of typical weddings. Annoyed by the usual cake cutting cutlery, we decided to use Narsil, Aragorn's sword from Lord of the Rings. The grin on his face made it worth the "are you sure?" comments from our parents."
Remember the "Samus Settles Down" entry? Well, that was us, and now we're married as of November 5th (and yes we milked the V for Vendetta references)! It was more Lord of the Rings themed though: he got the groomsmen little sword replicas from the movies, and got me an Arwen necklace. This pic is of the groomsman's cake his mom made (she is incredible), complete with a dragon and a peacock (big symbols for us), and writing in Elvish around the top, saying our names, the wedding date, the locati
