Two friends of mine just got married. This was how the gentleman proposed to his lady (after making her a special deck for Christmas, first)

This looks like the most complicated proposal in the the world, but maybe that's because I don't play Magic The Gathering. However, even with my severely limited knowledge I can tell that The Proposer risked a lot in playing The Ring card. I mean, what if she had sacrificed it? That would mean an eternity of Thom Yorke...

My (now) husband and I decided on a Gambit and Rogue cake topper for our wedding cake. I got my traditional cake and he got his x-men!

Today I proposed to my lovely Olivia with the help of my best friend Tim. We procured an owl, yes a LIVE OWL. The handler dressed up as Hagrid, and came down to the firepit at the cabin we rented in Boone, NC. Upon seeing him come down the steps I told Olivia "looks like you got some mail." I wonder if J.K. Rowling knew how many proposals her plot device would initiate when she wrote it. Well done on carving so delicately around the time turner. I'm sure Olivia was absolutely floored by everything you did!

Remember the "Samus Settles Down" entry? Well, that was us, and now we're married as of November 5th (and yes we milked the V for Vendetta references)! It was more Lord of the Rings themed though: he got the groomsmen little sword replicas from the movies, and got me an Arwen necklace.
