Longstanding Massachusetts Representative Barney Frank wed his boyfriend Jim Ready on Sunday in Newton, Mass. Frank famously became the first member of congress to declare that he was gay in 1987, and is now the first to be wed to someone of the same sex.

This is the cake from the wedding of Scott Everhart and Jason Welker, who planned their wedding to coincide with yesterday's release of Astonishing X-Men #51 in which Northstar marries his partner Kyle.

Marvel has released the cover of Astonishing X-men #51 in which their first openly-gay character, Northstar, weds longtime boyfriend Kyle. That's nice and all, but I'm more concerned that it looks like Iceman and Storm are totally late to the ceremony! Look guys, just because you're mutants doesn't mean you can just waltz, slide, or fly in whenever you feel like it!
