I appreciate this photo as much for the delicious strawberry ice cream and cloud cookies featured as the amazing cups and spoons! Someone's got great taste!
Nothing says love like a heart shaped dessert delicately dusted with cocoa powder. Sadly, I fear cocoa powder as it seems inevitable that I will accidentally breathe some of it in when I take the first bite and then I'll cough all crazy and destroy everything. How I wish I could enjoy a dusted treat.
There's making whoopie and then there's making whoopie pies. I need to get on the whoopie pie train one of these days. I look at them every day all over these here internets yet I've never eaten one! What is wrong with the world?
I'm not much of a baker. I get intimidated by the exactness of measurements and ratios and temperatures and timing so my lovely Kitchen Aid mixer stands unused like a really fancy decoration in my kitchen. That is, until I made my first batch of muffins! Muffins are so easy! They take almost no work and I can practically make them with my eyes closed! Strawberries are in season, I think this will be my new favorite.
Who knew that all you need for a super cute Christmas dessert is a few upside down strawberries, some whipped cream and a pinch of sesame seeds? I am totally in awe of the simplicity and creativity here. Now you have no excuse for not bringing something to the potluck at your great aunt's house.
