When I was a kid, the closest I ever got to decorating my own cake was a cookie and a little tube of gel icing. I had plenty of fun with just that. Imagine how awesome it would have been if we had edible paper back then? I can't say I'm not a little jealous of kids these days.

There is nothing not to love about this cake. The green is so fresh and modern and the little buildings are so elegant and perfectly handmade. I've never even been to Amsterdam and I'm smitten.

You guys, what happened to Daydream Bear's nose?! Pay attention, silly bear! You're always losing things while you daydream! Oh wait, my bad, I ate your nose in the car on the way to this party. I just couldn't resist!

I'll admit it, I'm a grown woman with a not entirely ironic fondness for Twilight. I'm not a mom, I'm not living vicariously through my teenage daughters (because, ick). I'm just a person who sometimes loves reading really schlocky, badly-written novels with quickly moving plot lines. I wouldn't be ashamed of this cake showing up on my birthday, except that Edward looks a little sickly gray and moldy. Not a good look for a sparkly vampire.

These monsters are throwing a party! It's so nice when a party starts on a table and continues in my mouth. NOM NOM NOM!

I could see this framed and hanging on a wall as a remembrance of a birthday. The polka dots can be wallpaper right? Please don't tell me someone ate this.

I'm glad to see that the end of the movie series hasn't dampened the enthusiasm of the HP fans out there. The books will be read and re-read and cherished forever, mark my words.
