There has to be an uncomfortable moment with these when you're expecting icy coldness and are met with creamy frosting. But you'll get over it.
When I was a kid I was lucky enough to have family friends with a sailboat. It's been a while since I had a chance to cruise around the Salish Sea, but these cupcakes take me right back to my time on the waves. Do you guys like sailing?
There's so much fondant everywhere these days adorning all our sweet goodies. It looks amazing, but the taste is nothing special. Bakingdom has made these incredible steampunk cupcakes with Tootsie Roll hats! So pliable and easy to work with and so delicious! The Saturday Genius Award goes to Bakingdom!

I absolutely adore "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" and these cupcakes are a fantastic representation of the book. My favorite part was always when he ate through all the watermelon. I wanted to be small enough to eat holes through my food too!
I like a tableau that takes up several baked goods. It's like a gorgeous panning shot in the opening scene of a movie to establish the setting and the tone. This movie is clearly about relaxing in the sunshine with no cares and plenty of snacks.
You can't fool me, rice krispy treats! I see you under all that makeup, trying to masquerade as a cupcake. That's a low and dirty trick. You know I love you for what you really are with all of your buttery goodness. You don't have to pretend, be proud of who you are!
