Spring is coming! At least that's what the frozen crocuses in my flowerbed are telling me. They look cold though. These baby birdies have warm coconut nests to keep them toasty while they yell for mama. I think they'll be okay.
Some birds just won't settle for sticks and hair and dirt to make a nest. They need shredded coconut, lovingly hand-dyed and placed on a cookie. Of course these most special of all birds only lay candy eggs, my favorite!
What an adorable snack! I'd like to see a whole flock of truffle sheep roaming across the vast expanse of my kitchen table, nibbling the crumbs left over from last night's dinner, bleating plaintively, aware that I'll be nibbling on their salty little pretzel legs soon.
