Defiance is an upcoming sci-fi drama on Syfy. Yeah. Actual science fiction on Syfy. Weird, right?

Three Inches Pilot (2/2) from KyleSchmidFrance2 on Vimeo.

In early 2011, Syfy had a choice between two different shows about people with superpowers. As we all know, they ended up choosing "Alphas," but they still aired the pilot for the other one. The pilot episode of "Three Inches" premiered last Thursday night with no advertising or announcement. There won't be any more, but this is an interesting glimpse at what could have been. Would you want to see this developed into a full series? Do you think it would have been better than "Alphas?"

This made for 'SyFy' Original Movie aired Thursday Night, and it became the most Tweeted event of the evening, beating out Derek Jeter's return to baseball. Personally I think it should be called Sharkicane, because of its proximity to water.

As expected the trailer does contain some Sharky Violence.

Damn it, Syfy. Why? Why is this, your best show, cancelled while those ghost hunting douchebags and all the other crappy "reality" shows are allowed to continue?

At least we can be grateful Eureka got a proper ending. Not only that, but probably its best season since the first one. "Just Another Day" was a great farewell for the series and an amazing episode in its own right. And yes, I did tear up a little bit, knowing this is the last I'll ever see of these characters. It was SAD, okay? I guess we still have Warehouse 13 and Alphas. For now.

What did you think of it? Was "Just Another Day" a proper sendoff for the series? Will you miss Eureka?
