Karen Gillan, who plays Amy Pond on "Doctor Who," is 24 years old today. Happy birthday, Pond!
Leonard Nimoy turns 81 years old today. He introduced us to Spock, directed one of the best "Star Trek" films, and sang us the story of "The Hobbit." He's done so much, it's almost impossible to list every accomplishment here. He's even still going strong in the sci-fi world with a recurring role in "Fringe." Thanks for all you've given us sci-fi fans, Leonard. Happy Birthday!
Stan Lee, co-creator of Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four, the X-Men and more, turned 89 years old today. Lee first broke into comics in 1939 after graduating high school at age 16. His uncle helped him become an assistant at Timely Comics, which would later become Marvel. His first writing to appear in a comic book was a text filler page in "Captain America" issue #3. Since then he has helped create numerous beloved characters, helped reform the Comics Code, and challenged conventional ideas of what a superhero could be. Happy birthday, Stan. Excelsior!
David Tennant turns 41 today. Yes, he's 41 years old and still looks that damn good. He's Barty Crouch Jr., Cassanova, a phenomenal Hamlet, and of course, one of our favorite Doctors. He's also a huge fan of "Doctor Who", and credits the show for getting him interested in acting in the first place. All we can say is Happy Birthday, and thanks for making seasons two, three, and four so much fun to watch.
Happy birthday, David Tennant!
