During an interview on Fox News, defense analyst Thomas Ricks accused the network of politicizing the attack in Benghazi, and being a "wing of the Republican Party." Fox immediately shuts the interview down.
Ricks later explained, "One reason I spoke the way I did is that the hero of my new book is George Marshall, the Army chief of staff during World War II. He got his position by speaking truth to power, and I try to follow that example."
Senate Majority Leader Chip Rogers hosted a meeting with other Republican lawmakers to discuss how they believe President Obama is brainwashing Americans on behalf of the United Nations. The meeting was led by Field Searcy, a birther and conservative activist deemed "too extreme" by the tea party. The meeting lasted four hours, but the person recording the video only made it one hour in before he was asked to leave.
